Being cautious of the chemicals we are using in our homes, particularly cleaning agents and the water we are drinking will help to protect our highly important glands such as the Thyroid.
Hypothyroidism is a fast growing problem, predominantly for women. In Dr Sandra Cabot's book: Your thyroid problems solved, she discusses how Fluoride, halogens, chlorine and bromine accumulate in the body. They can never be excreted. These chemicals slow down the production of T3 and T4 hormones in our bodies and inhibit TSH. Our thyroid and adrenal glands are essential to our immune systems and mental well being.
Please make sure you use healthy cleaning detergents (such as BEE from our store), avoid smoking and drink water that is free of halogens. Rain water is most likely a good alternative.
